International Conference on Evolving Cities

(ICEC 2023)

University of Southampton, 12 – 14 September 2023

The 4th International Conference on Evolving Cities (ICEC 2023) will take place at the University of Southampton, UK from the 12th – 14th September 2023. The aim of ICEC2023 is to present recent research and development related to cities and their evolution, debating the steps needed to propel cities towards healthier, low carbon pathways.

ICEC 2023 aims to bring together leading academics, policy-makers, regional and non-governmental organisations and the private sector to debate the major role of cities in tackling the climate crisis and accelerating the transition to net-zero carbon. These issues are reflected in the below conference themes. ICEC2023 builds on the success of the 3rd International Conference on Evolving Cities (ICEC 2022) held July 13 – 15, 2022 which had over 150 delegates with 30 papers selected to go the conference proceedings and special issues.

We actively encourage contributions from local authorities, researchers across academic disciplines and from post-graduate research students.

Staff attending from local authorities and charities are entitled to attend the conference free of charge (max. 2 people per organisation). A limited number of exhibitor stands are available as part of the conference activities.
