ICEC 2022 special issues
The ICEC organising committee are proud to announce that selected papers will be invited to submit to the following journals
- MDPI Energies Special Issue
- IET Smart Cities
- International Journal of Low-Carbon Technologies Special Issue
- Future Cities and Environment Special Issue
Papers for the above journals will be selected via a ranking process conducted by the conference session chairs and members of the scientific committee.
Energies
For the Special Issue of Energies (ISSN 1996-1073) belonging to the section Energy and the Environment the extended deadline for manuscripts is 31st December 2022.
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline and all papers will be peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Energies is an international peer-reviewed open access semi-monthly journal published by MDPI.

Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI’s English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.

IET Smart Cities
For the Special Issue in IET Smart Cities (ISSN 2631-7680) the extended deadline for manuscripts is 31st December 2022.
IET Smart Cities is a Gold Open Access journal that publishes original research on the latest advances in ICT for Smart Cities, addresses standards, technologies, systems, research, implementation, deployment, applications, benchmarking and policy. The journal draws together work from academia, industry and government.
The journal has a CiteScore of 4.8 and publishes Original Research, Reviews, Case studies and Perspective papers.

International Journal of Low-Carbon Technologies
For the Special Issue of International Journal of Low-Carbon Technologies (ISSN 1748-1317) the extended deadline for manuscripts is 31st December 2022.
The International Journal of Low-Carbon Technologies (IJLCT), with an impact factor of 2.455, is an open access, online only journal concerned with the application of technology to the challenges created by climate change All areas of the field are considered with sections focusing on:
- Renewable energy technologies
- CO2 reduction and low carbon technologies

Sustainable energy technologies in the built environment
- Renewable energy management and environmental impact
The journal publishes research articles, technical notes, review papers, book reviews and focus issues. Papers should be written in such a way that the technologies and results they report on are accessible to researchers working in other areas of the field. Future Cities and Environment

The Future Cities and Environment journal, with an impact factor of 1.38, is published online as a continuous volume and issue throughout the year with the journal providing immediate open access to its content .
