What data do we collect?

ICEC collects the following data:

  • Personal identification information (Name, email address, institution name, telephone numbers etc).
  • Transaction data relating to any conference fees and accommodation purchased
  • Web browser cookies

How do we collect your data?

You directly provide ICEC with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

  • Register (or ‘Subscribe’) online using our website.
  • Use the ‘Contact us’ feature on our website.
  • Register an abstract for ICEC via the conference management tool.
  • Purchase tickets to attend ICEC via the University of Southampton online store.
  • Contact us via email.
  • Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies.

How will we use your data?

ICEC collects your data so that we can:

  • Keep you informed of current and future events in the International Conference on Evolving Cities (ICEC) series.
  • Send updates about arrangements for current and future ICEC events.
  • Contact you regarding your submission to present at ICEC events.
  • Contact you regarding arrangements for attnding ICEC events.

If you agree, ICEC will share your data with the Energy and Climate Change Division so that they may communicate information on other events run by the research group.

When ICEC processes your registration, it may send your data to, and also use the resulting information from, University of Southampton online store and hospitality services.

Marketing

ICEC would like to send you information about our events that we think will interest you, as well as those of our research division (Energy and Climate Change Division).

If you have agreed to receive marketing, you may always opt out at a later date.

You have the right at any time to stop ICEC from contacting you for marketing purposes or giving your data to other members of the Energy and Climate Change Division.
