ICEC 2021 venue

The International Conference on Evolving Cities (ICEC 2021) will be held at joint venues situated within Guildhall Square in Southampton city centre; the MAST Mayflower Studios and the John Hansard Gallery (JHG). Guildhall Square is well known as the Cultural Quarter of the City and is the hub of live music venues, museums, galleries, bars, cafes and restaurants, playing host to many events, installations and exhibitions.

The venue (within the theatre and arts complex) was opened in 2018 as part of a £30m Cultural Quarter development in Guildhall.

MAST includes the 450-seat theatre, a 133-seat studio, rehersal rooms and three workshop spaces and the John Hansard Gallery, which is part of the Univeristy of Southampton, is one of the UK’s leading contemporary art galleries

The contemporary buildings sit within a mixed use development of residential and retail units with the site.  ICEC 2021 will be held within these side-to-side buildings with more information about the buildings given below.
